SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (HPSCB) has advised its customers to plan their financial transactions in advance as the bank will temporarily suspend most of its branch and digital banking services for nearly five days starting July 17.
According to a public notice issued by the bank, services will remain unavailable from 5:00 PM on July 17 until 10:00 AM on July 22.
The temporary suspension is due to a scheduled technical upgrade, during which the bank will migrate its current core banking system (CBS) to Finacle Core Banking Solution (Version 10.2.25). This upgrade is being executed under the NABARD Umbrella Project.
During this migration period, almost all CBS-based digital and physical operations will be halted. This includes branch banking, ATM services, internet banking, mobile banking, UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, RuPay debit cards, and AePS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment System).
The bank has urged customers to complete their essential financial transactions before the cutoff time to avoid any inconvenience. Bank management stated that this technical upgrade is a crucial step toward providing a more secure, robust, and modern banking platform in the future.
HPSCB assured customers that every effort will be made to complete the migration within the scheduled timeline and restore services promptly. Expressing regret for the temporary disruption, the bank thanked its customers for their cooperation and patience. For any assistance, customers have been advised to contact their nearest HPSCB branch or the bank’s customer care.
As one of the largest cooperative banks in Himachal Pradesh, HPSCB serves as a major financial pillar across the state, ranging from remote hilly terrains to district headquarters. The bank plays a vital role in strengthening the state’s rural economy.
Currently, the bank operates a wide network of 239 branches with total assets worth around Rs 20,793 crore. It holds deposits of approximately Rs 15,988 crore and has advances worth Rs 10,470 crore extended to farmers, employees, businessmen, and general consumers.
Speaking to ANI, HPSCB Managing Director Shravan Manta said, “HPSCB has consistently strengthened its financial position, expanded its branch network, and adopted digital banking solutions to enhance customer convenience.”
