NEW DELHI: Following the April launch of the Oppo K15 Pro and Oppo K15 Pro+ in China, tech major Oppo has confirmed it will introduce the third model in the lineup, the Oppo K15, next week. The smartphone has already been listed on Oppo’s official online store in China, revealing its design, color options, storage variants, and key specifications.
According to the online store listing, the Oppo K15 is scheduled to launch in China on July 24 at 10:00 AM local time (7:30 AM IST). The smartphone is currently available for pre-order in the country. The listing confirms that the device will be sold in at least a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, and will come in two color options: Gale Grey and Rapid White.
In terms of specifications, the Oppo K15 features a 6.59-inch flat display. The company claims the device will come with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Super chipset working alongside a Tidal Engine.
Similar to its Pro counterparts, the Oppo K15 incorporates an active cooling fan to manage thermal performance. It additionally features a vapor chamber cooling solution with a 4,950 sq mm heat dissipation area to prevent overheating and performance throttling during heavy tasks like gaming.
The smartphone is equipped with an 8,000mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging, bypass charging, and a “Glacier Battery Energy Gathering Chip” (translated from Chinese).
For photography, the Oppo K15 sports a dual rear camera setup with an LED flash, comprising a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 50MP ultrawide camera. A 50MP front camera is provided for selfies and video calls. For navigation, the device supports dual-frequency GPS and three-frequency BeiDou.
