The Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival (KRBF) is set to take place on April 3–4 in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, bringing together a vibrant mix of music and social impact.
The two-day festival will feature performances by renowned and emerging artists, including Indian Ocean, Nirmala Kannan, Shamaji and The Happy Factory, Prince, Mansa Jimmy, Shrey Tandan, True Blue, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya. The event aims to create a shared platform where music meets a meaningful cause.
Organised by the NGO Genesis Foundation, the festival has evolved into a major fundraising initiative supporting the treatment of underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart defects (CHD). Since its inception in 2012, this year marks the 10th edition of the festival.
Funds raised through the event are dedicated to life-saving surgeries, catheter-based procedures, and post-operative care for critically ill children from low-income families. Organisers highlight that congenital heart defects remain one of the most common birth abnormalities in India, often requiring urgent and expensive treatment beyond the reach of many families.
Through KRBF, the foundation aims to bridge this gap by ensuring a transparent and consistent funding channel. Over the past 25 years, Genesis Foundation has supported the treatment of more than 5,400 children nationwide and built a strong network of hospitals and medical experts for timely diagnosis and care.
Founder trustee Jyoti Sagar emphasized that timely medical intervention can be life-saving for children with CHD and noted that the festival continues to play a vital role in reaching families in need.
Beyond entertainment, the festival encourages people to contribute to a meaningful cause—every ticket purchased directly supports the treatment of a child, fostering collective responsibility toward healthcare challenges.
The 2026 edition is being held in association with 1842 Kasauli by Scapes, reflecting a shared vision of sustainability, heritage preservation, and community engagement.
Sameer Mutreja, founder of Scapes Hospitality, described the festival as a powerful blend of purpose, community involvement, and responsible development that raises awareness while creating real impact.
Genesis Foundation supports children from families earning ₹20,000 or less per month, ensuring that 100% of individual donations go directly toward treatment, with no administrative deductions.
