PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme: Millions of farmers across India are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. On Wednesday, the Ministry of Agriculture released a new set of guidelines advising farmers to complete six important tasks to ensure they get their next payment on time.
Although the government hasn’t officially announced the release date for the 20th installment yet, it is expected to be issued soon.
When will the 20th installment arrive?
Under this scheme, farmers receive ₹2,000 three times a year—in February, June, and October. Last year, the June installment was credited before the end of the month. However, this time there has been a delay. The government hasn’t provided an official explanation, but sources suggest that Prime Minister Modi may release the installment during an event in the last week of July.
The previous 19th installment was distributed in February 2025, benefiting 98 million farmers with payments totaling ₹22,000 crore.
6 Steps Farmers Must Complete to Get Their PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Payment:
- Complete e-KYC: No installment will be transferred without e-KYC verification.
- Link Aadhaar to Your Bank Account: Any mismatch between Aadhaar details and bank records could lead to rejection of payment.
- Verify Bank Account Details: Incorrect IFSC codes or account numbers can cause payment failures.
- Update Land Records: Ownership of your land must be clearly reflected in the digital records.
- Check Your Name in the Beneficiary List: Visit pmkisan.gov.in to ensure your name appears in the list.
- Update Your Mobile Number: Make sure your registered phone number is correct for receiving OTPs and notifications.
Notably, under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, farmers receive an installment of ₹2,000 three times a year. These payments are released in February, June, and October.
