Himachal Pradesh Sees Widespread Protests in Support of Sonam Wangchuk, Activists Demand Education Minister’s Resignation

Protests erupted across Himachal Pradesh including Shimla, Solan, and Kullu on Monday as student, youth, and social outfits demanded the immediate release of environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk. Demonstrators also sought the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over paper leak cases and demanded transparency in the education system.
