Fresh snowfall in the high peaks of Kullu and widespread rains across Himachal Pradesh have lowered temperatures. Over 130 roads remain blocked, while the Met Department has issued an orange alert for heavy downpours from July 27.

Heavy rains and cloudbursts triggered flash floods and landslides across Himachal Pradesh, severely impacting Boh Valley in Kangra district. Eighteen houses were damaged, and over 150 roads, along with hundreds of power transformers and water schemes, were disrupted. Orange alert remains active for Kangra and Mandi districts for Wednesday.

The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for Himachal Pradesh from July 18 to 23, with intense downpours expected between July 20 and 22. Authorities have also warned tourists and residents to stay away from the Parbati river banks following water release from the Pulga Dam.
IMD downgrades Himachal weather warning to orange alert from July 19 to 22
The India Meteorological Department has revised its weather warning for Himachal Pradesh, replacing the previously issued red alert for July 20 and 21 with an orange alert spanning from July 19 to 22. Residents and tourists have been advised to avoid high-altitude travel and stay away from water bodies.
