Today, cloudbursts in Mandi district have triggered intense downpours, leading to sudden floods. This disaster has claimed the lives of over 90 people so far, with 129 others reported injured. Many residents have been displaced from their homes, and hundreds have been sheltered in various relief camps.

Intermittent rain has been falling across the state, including Shimla, since last night. Dhaula Kuan in Sirmaur recorded the highest rainfall at 168 mm, while Bilaspur saw 120 mm in the last 24 hours. The department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in most parts of the state.
