Bitcoin Price Today: The global cryptocurrency market faced a significant downturn on Sunday after United States Vice President JD Vance announced that no consensus could be reached on extending the ceasefire with Iran. The geopolitical uncertainty triggered immediate volatility across digital asset exchanges.

Bitcoin (BTC), the world’s largest cryptocurrency, saw its dominance weaken as its price fell by over 1.5%. At the time of reporting, Bitcoin was trading at $71,661.29 (approximately ₹66.71 lakh), marking a 1.59% decline within a 24-hour window.

The impact was felt across the board, with the total global crypto market cap shrinking by 1.36% to $2.43 trillion (₹226.21 lakh crore). Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest digital currency, also lost its sheen, dropping more than 1% to trade at $2,215.86.

Among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, Tron (TRX) was the only outlier to remain in the green, posting a modest gain of 1.10%. In contrast, Solana (SOL) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) faced steeper corrections, falling by 2.50% and 3.64% respectively.

Despite the immediate daily slump, the weekly trajectory for major tokens remains positive. Over the last seven days, Hyperliquid led the gains with a 14.20% surge, while Bitcoin and Ethereum have maintained overall weekly growth of 7.02% and 8.47% respectively.

Trading activity saw a notable contraction as investors adopted a cautious stance. Total crypto trading volume over the last 24 hours stood at $84.33 billion (₹7.85 lakh crore), an 8.02% decrease from the previous day.
