Cabinet Approves ₹25,530 Crore SARTHAK-PDS Scheme Till 2031 to Modernise Food Distribution System
The Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of the SARTHAK-PDS programme for another five years with an allocation of ₹25,530 crore till March 2031. The scheme aims to modernise the public distribution system through technology-driven reforms, improved logistics, real-time monitoring, and better last-mile delivery of subsidised foodgrains.
