Himachal to Launch High Value Nut Mission from 2026 to Boost Horticulture and Farmer Income

The Himachal Pradesh government will launch the High Value Nut Mission (2026-2031) to promote temperate nut crops like walnuts, almonds, apricots, and chilgoza. The initiative aims to address declining productivity, rejuvenate 1,000 hectares of orchards, set up processing units, and enhance farmers' income through modern techniques and infrastructure.
