The Union Cabinet has approved the PM Vidyalaxmi Scheme to assist meritorious students facing financial constraints in pursuing higher education. Under this scheme, students securing admission to the country's top 860 educational institutions can access collateral-free loans up to Rs 7.5 lakh with no processing fees.
