220 Tamil Nadu MLAs Secured Less Than 50% Votes: ADR Report

An Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) report reveals that 220 newly elected Tamil Nadu MLAs secured less than 50% of the total votes polled in their constituencies. The average winning vote share dropped sharply to 38.99% in 2026 compared to 48.37% in the 2021 assembly elections.
