 Mandi: Despite prevailing global economic uncertainties, the demand for Indian engineering talent remains robust in the international market. In a significant recruitment milestone, students from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi and other premier technical institutions have secured high-profile placements with Japanese multinational corporations.

The recruitment drive, facilitated through the AI-powered platform Cognavi, resulted in 13 candidates receiving international offers. These annual compensation packages range from ₹42.15 lakh to ₹56.27 lakh, reflecting the high valuation of Indian technical expertise by global firms.

Data-Driven Selection and Skill Mapping
The placement process saw participation from 127 applicants, primarily representing IIT Mandi, IIT Madras, and SRM Institute of Science and Technology. To ensure precision in hiring, the selection utilized advanced technological standards, including AI-based skill mapping, video assessments, and cultural compatibility analysis.

Out of the initial pool of applicants, 20 candidates were shortlisted for the final evaluation phase, with 13 ultimately securing positions. These students have been appointed to critical roles in sectors fundamental to industrial innovation, such as:

Bridging the Global Opportunity Gap
Commenting on the successful recruitment cycle, Varun Modgill, Managing Director and CTO of Cognavi India, emphasized that while India possesses a vast talent pool, the primary challenge lies in connecting these skills with global requirements. He noted that AI-driven platforms are effectively bridging the distance between international employers and qualified Indian graduates.

Industry experts observe that this technology-led recruitment model is redefining traditional hiring pathways. By utilizing data-backed insights, these platforms are streamlining the transition for Indian engineers into the global workforce.

Currently, Cognavi is collaborating with over 300 engineering institutions across India. This initiative is expected to broaden the horizon for domestic talent, providing structured access to international career opportunities in a competitive global landscape.
