“Superstar” Rajinikanth expressed profound shock over the development, describing the leak as a source of “shock and pain.” Taking to social media, he urged film associations to amplify their protest and called upon the government to identify and impose “severe punishment” on the perpetrators.
In a detailed critique, Kamal Haasan attributed the breach to a “systemic failure.” He argued that inordinate delays in the certification process created a “fertile ground for piracy,” suggesting that when legal access is stalled, illegitimate channels fill the vacuum. Haasan emphasized that the leak is an attack on the art and the artist, endangering the investments of honest, tax-paying producers and exhibitors.
