Naina Devi accident: A Tempo Traveller carrying pilgrims from Delhi met with an accident on Wednesday while returning from the Naina Devi temple in Himachal Pradesh. The vehicle lost control and tumbled off the road near the Santina Yatri Niwas, close to Kola Wala Toba.
According to reports, approximately 15 passengers were on board the vehicle, including three to four children. The group was en route back to Delhi following their pilgrimage to the shrine.
Eyewitnesses reported panic among the passengers following the fall. Despite the severity of the incident, officials confirmed that there were no fatalities. Multiple pilgrims sustained injuries during the crash.
Local residents and police teams reached the site immediately after being notified of the incident. Rescue operations were launched promptly to assist the passengers, and the injured were shifted to the nearest Primary Health Center for medical attention.
Kot Police Station in-charge Harnam Singh stated that preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle lost control, leading to the accident. Further inquiries are currently being conducted to ascertain the precise cause of the crash.
While the incident caused temporary disruption in the area, the situation was brought under control swiftly by the local authorities and residents. The administration has issued a fresh advisory, urging travelers to exercise extreme caution while navigating mountainous roads.
