The Kasauli International Public School, Sanawara, organized its annual investiture ceremony on Tuesday with significant enthusiasm and a strong sense of discipline. The event was held to formally induct the newly elected student council, marking a milestone in the academic calendar. The ceremony serves as a platform to empower students and foster a spirit of leadership within the school community.
The proceedings commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and the removal of ignorance. Following this, the school management and faculty officially appointed monitors, deputy monitors, dorm captains, and deputy dorm captains for various classes. Each student leader was honored with badges and sashes, signifying the trust placed in them by the institution.
In a key announcement for the senior leadership, Amreek Chaudhary of Class 12 was appointed as the Head Boy, while Deepakshi, also from Class 12, was named the Head Girl. Their roles are central to maintaining student discipline and acting as a bridge between the student body and the administration. The appointments were met with applause from the gathered students and staff members.
The sports department also saw new leadership with the appointment of Viren Gulia and Tanvi Thakur, both from Class 12, as Sports Captains for the boys’ and girls’ categories, respectively. Additionally, Mansirat of Class 12 was assigned the responsibility of Multi-Media Incharge, a role crucial for managing the school’s digital presence and internal communication.
After receiving their titles, the student leaders formally signed the official documents to accept their new duties. Head Boy Amreek Chaudhary led the student council in taking a solemn oath of loyalty and dedication. The students pledged to uphold the values of the school and perform their duties with the utmost integrity and commitment.
A standout moment of the ceremony was the passing of the lit torch. The torch was handed over from one student to another, symbolizing the transfer of leadership, inspiration, and the continuity of the school’s legacy. This ritual served as a visual reminder of the responsibility the seniors carry in guiding their juniors.
At the conclusion of the event, Managing Director Heera Thakur, Chief Executive Officer Dr. Sanjeev Mainra, and Principal Poonam Thakur addressed the gathering. They congratulated the new council members and emphasized that leadership is not merely about holding a title but about setting a positive example for others.
The school leadership encouraged the students to fulfill their roles with honesty and hard work. They highlighted that these positions are an opportunity to develop character and service-oriented mindsets. The ceremony was attended by the entire teaching faculty and the student body, marking a successful start to the new administrative year at the school.
