NEET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026 on Sunday, May 3. For the smooth conduct of the crucial medical entrance examination, a total of five centres have been established in and around Hamirpur town.
These five centres will accommodate a total of 2,773 registered candidates. The detailed allocation of candidates to specific examination centres has been officially released by the authorities.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Memorial Postgraduate College, Annu, will host the largest contingent with 960 candidates. NIT Hamirpur has been assigned 720 candidates, while Shaheed Captain Mridul Sharma Memorial Senior Secondary School, Hamirpur, will accommodate 504 aspirants.
Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), Matahani, has 408 candidates allotted to its centre. The Kendriya Vidyalaya in Hamirpur will serve as the examination venue for 181 candidates.
Special arrangements have been put in place by the district administration, in coordination with NTA, to ensure hassle-free movement of examinees. Chirag Sharma, Assistant Commissioner to the Deputy Commissioner and Coordinator for examination centres in Hamirpur district, informed that dedicated HRTC bus services will be made available.
These buses will operate from the main bus stand starting at 9 AM for candidates heading to distant centres, including NIT, HPTU, the Degree College, and Kendriya Vidyalaya. Upon the conclusion of the examination, HRTC buses will also be stationed at these centres from 5 PM to facilitate the return journey of candidates.
