Devotees heading to Rajasthan’s famous Khatu Shyamji Temple this New Year will receive a special blessing: an unprecedented 72-hour continuous ‘darshan’ window. Starting January 1, the temple gates will remain open non-stop for three days to allow as many pilgrims as possible to have a smooth, unobstructed visit.

In a significant move prioritizing equality, the temple committee has announced that the VIP darshan facility will be completely suspended during this period. Every devotee, without exception, will join the same general queue for the darshan of Baba Shyam. This step is expected to provide relief from long waits and ensure a fair system for all.

With lakhs of pilgrims anticipated, authorities are making tight security and crowd management arrangements. Approximately 3,000 security personnel will be deployed around the temple complex. Surveillance will be heightened with drone cameras and a dedicated CCTV control room monitoring the area through 250 cameras.

For pilgrim convenience, provisions like drinking water, medical aid, temporary toilets, and resting areas have been arranged. A traffic diversion plan is in place, with separate parking zones created to avoid congestion.

In a key traffic regulation, the main road from Ringas to Khatudham has been declared a no-vehicle zone from December 31 to January 1. This is to facilitate the movement of pedestrians and prevent gridlock. Pilgrims are advised to use public transport where possible.

The temple committee has appealed to all visitors to follow official guidelines, maintain patience, and uphold a peaceful atmosphere. Medical teams and ambulances are also on standby for any emergencies.
