IRS Officer Daughter Rape and Murder Case: A shocking case of rape and murder in Delhi’s Amar Colony has sent shockwaves across the city, with investigators uncovering disturbing details about the accused that have left even seasoned police officers stunned. The victim, the daughter of a senior IRS officer, was found brutally assaulted and killed inside her residence in East of Kailash. The accused, identified as Rahul Meena, was arrested from Dwarka on April 22 after an intensive police operation.

According to the investigation, the crime was not impulsive but carefully planned. The accused was aware of the victim’s family routine, knowing that her parents would leave early in the morning for the gym. Taking advantage of this, he entered the building and headed straight to the study room located on the rooftop, where the victim was studying for her UPSC preparation.

Police revealed that the accused initially attempted to overpower the girl by strangulation. When she resisted, he attacked her with a lamp and other heavy objects, causing severe head injuries that rendered her unconscious. In a horrifying act, he then raped her while she was unconscious. Investigators believe that the victim may have died during or shortly after the assault due to severe injuries and blood loss.

The brutality did not end there. The accused allegedly dragged the victim’s body downstairs in an attempt to open a locker using her fingerprint. However, due to the lack of blood circulation and bloodstains on her hands, the biometric system failed to recognize her fingerprint. He then broke open the locker using a screwdriver and fled with cash and jewellery.

In a bid to escape unnoticed, the accused reportedly changed his bloodstained clothes, wearing the victim’s brother’s pants and slippers before fleeing the scene. This level of calculation and presence of mind has raised serious concerns among investigators.

During interrogation, police uncovered a disturbing background. Rahul Meena, at a young age, had developed a habit of gambling through online card games and allegedly used his earnings to engage in immoral activities. Even more alarming, he confessed to committing another rape just a day earlier in Alwar, Rajasthan, where he assaulted a married woman and threatened her before fleeing to Delhi.

Police officials believe that while robbery may have been a motive, there is a strong possibility that the accused had been observing the victim for some time and had premeditated both the sexual assault and the murder. The pattern of crimes within a short span has intensified concerns over his psychological profile.

The victim, described by sources as exceptionally bright, had reportedly been an All India topper in Class 12 and was preparing for the UPSC examination. Her tragic death has not only devastated her family but also sparked outrage over women’s safety and the rising brutality of such crimes in urban areas.

The investigation is ongoing, with police continuing to gather evidence and build a strong case against the accused.
