IMD issues high monsoon alert for 22 states; flash flood warning in Uttarakhand and Himachal
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a high alert across a major portion of the country due to an intensely active southwest monsoon. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted for northern, eastern, and northeastern states until July 16, with flash flood warnings issued for multiple vulnerable districts.
