Direct Tax Collection Sees Strong Growth, Government Receives ₹12.12 Lakh Crore Till September 17

Direct tax collection has witnessed a healthy increase in the current financial year. Net direct tax collection rose 13 per cent to over ₹12.12 lakh crore till September 17. Earnings from corporate tax and Securities Transaction Tax also registered sharp growth.
