Vietnam's VinFast Rolls Into India: The VF6, VF7, And A Mysterious 7-Seater Spotted!

Get ready, India! Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast is gearing up for its grand entry, and the roads are already getting a sneak peek. The company is charging ahead with its plan to open all 35 of its dealerships by September 2025, and as a first look, its upcoming VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs are set to launch around the same time.

But there’s more exciting news than just the SUVs. Earlier this year, VinFast filed a design patent for a 7-seater family electric car, and that very model has now been spotted testing on Indian roads!

Meet the “Limo Green” – A Potential Game Changer in the Family EV Space
This cute-looking EV, internally dubbed the VinFast Limo Green, could become a formidable rival to future MPVs like the Kia Carens EV and the Maruti EV MPV. It’s also expected to lock horns with models like the BYD eMax 7 and the Mahindra XUV 9S.

The biggest question mark, however, is the launch date. The automaker has been tight-lipped, not sharing any official timeline or future plans for this model in India yet.

Power, Range, and Charging: What We Know So Far
Globally, this electric vehicle is expected to come with a sizeable 60.13 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that produces 204 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. On a single full charge, it promises an impressive NEDC-rated range of up to 450 km—making it a great option for long family drives.

It will likely feature three driving modes—Eco, Comfort, and Sport—to suit different driving conditions.

Designed for Indian Roads
The VinFast Limo Green measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,728 mm in height. With a 170 mm ground clearance and 18-inch alloy wheels, it seems well-suited for Indian road conditions.

When it’s time to recharge, the vehicle supports fast DC charging, which can take the battery from 10% to 70% in just about 30 minutes.

Loaded with Features
The car is expected to launch in several attractive colours like Limo Red, Silver, Black, and Yellow.

If the feature list is anything to go by, it will be quite well-equipped, potentially offering:

  • Signature LED headlamps with DRLs
  • A 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • A digital instrument cluster and a D-cut steering wheel
  • Multi-zone automatic climate control with an air purifier
  • USB ports for rear passengers
  • Safety features like ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist, and rear parking sensors with a camera.

While the exact Indian pricing is still under wraps, it is estimated to be in the range of ₹ 17.99 lakh to ₹ 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). With so many features and the practicality of a 7-seater, this EV could be a compelling package if priced right. The Indian EV market is about to get a lot more interesting
