Pre-bookings for the premium SUV have officially commenced across Kia dealerships as well as on the brand’s official website, indicating an imminent launch.
First launched in global markets in 2002, the Sorento nameplate has spanned four generations, registering over 4.8 million unit sales across 132 countries. Globally, it ranked among Kia’s top three best-selling models in both 2024 and 2025. The SUV holds an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating alongside a 5-star NHTSA crash-test score.
Powertrain Details
While Kia has not officially disclosed the specific hybrid setup for the domestic market, media reports indicate that the SUV is likely to be powered by a 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid engine.
