Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday led the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ march in Hyderabad, Telangana, with a large number of party workers and supporters participating in the procession.

The march witnessed enthusiastic participation, with BJP flags and banners displayed along the route. Several supporters also carried large photographs and portraits of Amit Shah as the procession moved through the streets of Hyderabad, with participants raising slogans in support of the party.

Heavy security arrangements were made along the route, with security personnel deployed at several locations to maintain law and order and ensure the smooth conduct of the procession.

The BJP has launched its nationwide ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ campaign in response to the Opposition’s allegations and campaign against the party. In Hyderabad, Shah is scheduled to lead a *padyatra*, with party leaders and workers expected to join the programme.

The state BJP had earlier put up large welcome displays along the route of the march, stretching from Nizam College to MJ Market in Nampally. Shah’s visit is expected to energise the party cadre as the BJP intensifies its political campaign against the Congress government in Telangana.

BJP March Follows Rahul Gandhi’s Remarks on CEC
The BJP’s march comes a day after Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally organised by the INDIA bloc at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Sunday. During the rally, Gandhi said Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar would be removed from his post and jailed.

He accused the CEC of facilitating alleged vote theft in the country. Gandhi asserted that action would be taken against Kumar and claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah would not have reached their respective positions without him.

“Listen to me. What I say always turns out to be true, doesn’t it? I am telling every citizen and every youth of India: Gyanesh Kumar will be removed from the post of Chief Election Commissioner. Gyanesh Kumar will go to jail. Without Gyanesh Kumar, neither Narendra Modi would have become Prime Minister nor Amit Shah would have become Home Minister,” Gandhi said.

INDIA Bloc Leaders Attend Delhi Rally
The INDIA bloc rally was attended by senior Opposition leaders, including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

The gathering was organised to protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Opposition leaders and supporters from across the country assembled at Ramlila Maidan for the INDIA bloc’s ‘Chalo Delhi’ protest march, raising concerns over the SIR exercise and alleged irregularities in electoral rolls.

The march began at the Minto Road–Connaught Place junction and proceeded towards Ramlila Maidan. The gathering followed a public programme seeking the CEC’s impeachment, held in the national capital on October 31.
