NEW DELHI: Avore has rolled out its latest electric motorcycle lineup with three distinct variants – EX1, EX2, and EX2S. While all three models feature a similar basic design, they differ significantly in battery size, motor output, claimed range, top speed, and premium features, allowing buyers to choose according to their needs and budget.
The entry-level EX1 is positioned as an accessible option for daily commuting. It comes equipped with a 3.24 kWh battery paired with a 7.5 kW motor. The company claims an IDC range of 160 km on a single charge, with a top speed of 100 kmph. Riders get three riding modes – Eco, City, and Sport- along with a reverse mode for easier manoeuvrability. It uses a chain final drive system. The EX1 is priced at ₹1.23 lakh ex-showroom.
Moving up the ladder, the EX2 offers improved range without changing the motor. It retains the same 7.5 kW motor but gets a larger 5 kWh battery, which boosts the claimed IDC range to 255 km while maintaining the 100 kmph top speed. Like the EX1, it includes Eco, City, and Sport modes plus reverse, and continues with the chain final drive.
Avore states that the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in approximately two hours using a standard 15A socket. The EX2 is priced at ₹1.46 lakh ex-showroom, making it a balanced choice for those seeking longer range at a moderate price.
The flagship EX2S variant brings the most performance and features to the table. It uses the same 5 kWh battery as the EX2 but pairs it with a more powerful 10.5 kW motor. This results in a higher top speed of 114 kmph and a claimed IDC range of 260 km.
Buyers opting for the EX2S will enjoy five riding modes- PAM+, Eco, City, Sport, and Apex- along with an additional SYFT mode. In terms of display, it upgrades from the LCD unit in the lower variants to a larger 7-inch touchscreen TFT display for better visibility and functionality. Notably, it also switches to a belt final drive instead of a chain, which generally offers smoother operation and lower maintenance. The top-end EX2S is priced at ₹1.70 lakh ex-showroom.
All three variants maintain the same overall styling, ensuring a consistent look across the lineup while allowing customers to pick the specification level that best suits their riding requirements. The differences in battery capacity, motor power, range, and features like the display and drive system clearly separate the models in terms of performance and premium appeal.
With these three options, Avore aims to cater to different segments of the growing electric two-wheeler market -from budget-conscious buyers to those looking for higher performance and advanced features.
The variants are expected to appeal to urban riders seeking practical electric mobility with varying degrees of range and capability. Official bookings and deliveries are likely to commence soon, though exact timelines were not detailed in the launch information.
