Honda Rebel 300 Launched in India: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially introduced its anticipated cruiser motorcycle, the Honda Rebel 300, into the Indian two-wheel market. The company has priced the standard model of this cruiser at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.22 lakh.
Meanwhile, a special variant equipped with modern E-Clutch technology has been priced at Rs 2.62 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the company had unveiled this motorcycle in the Indian market last month.
The new motorcycle is manufactured locally in India (“Made in India“) and will be delivered to customers exclusively through the company’s premium dealership network, Honda BigWing. Official bookings for the motorcycle have commenced.
Customers can book the bike with an advance payment of Rs 5,000 via HMSI’s official website or through their nearest authorized Honda BigWing dealership. Along with opening the bookings, the company confirmed that customer deliveries will begin in mid-October 2026.
Low-Slung Bobber Design
In terms of design, the new Honda Rebel 300 features a ‘low-slung bobber’ styling reminiscent of the international market model. The front of the bike gets a classic round LED projector headlamp encased in a black housing.
Additionally, it features a distinctively shaped fuel tank and a blacked-out engine finish, giving it a premium appearance. The motorcycle uses short fenders, wide and thick tires, and a low seat, offering a compact and aggressive cruiser stance. The rear tail section is minimal and compact, keeping the bike’s mechanical parts clearly visible from the outside.
Engine Performance and Powertrain
Regarding the powertrain and performance, the Honda Rebel 300 is powered by a 286cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine is capable of generating a maximum power output of 30 bhp and a peak torque of 27.4 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox, with an assist-and-slipper clutch provided as standard.
On the technological front, the E-Clutch variant features Honda’s modern E-Clutch system, enabling gear shifts without operating the clutch lever manually, while the standard variant retains a traditional clutch setup.
Technology and Key Features
The manufacturer has equipped this cruiser with modern hardware. It features a circular TFT instrument display integrated with Honda RoadSync connectivity, supporting turn-by-turn navigation. Additional essential features include an all-LED lighting setup, disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) for safety.
Market Competition
In the Indian two-wheeler space, the Honda Rebel 300 will directly compete with Royal Enfield’s cruiser, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. Price-wise, the standard variant of the Rebel 300 directly challenges the Meteor 350, whose top-spec variant currently carries an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 2.21 lakh.
